For nearly a decade, I have been taking photographs of chicken bones that I see on the ground. The bones have an emotional resonance with me, and have struck a chord with countless others who are part of what’s known as “Boner Nation.” The project, currently being spearheaded by artist and political activist Johnny Bones, has only grown, with bone pictures being sent via Instagram from all over the world.
